Oi Futo Dirt, dust, bouncy ball, without 5-6 standard players, couple of costly mistakes and Hibs that were good as always, caused 4:6 final score. We were much better in first half, created lots of scoring opportunities, played nice and ran a lot. It gave us 2:1 after first 45 minutes. Unfortunately, mostly out of our mistakes, Hibs scored 3 goals in last 10 minutes and won. It is definitely not tolerable to score 3 or 4 goals and still lose the game. We must take care of it in next matches, and we certainly must improve before the next season starts.
Nice weather and nice pitch in Hachioji Park. Five new players. We didn't play very good, there was enough passion as always but we were not well organized. However, we managed to win somehow, 6 : 5 (yes, we played football, not water polo). Very nice goal was seen in 30th minute. It was a counterattack, goalkeeper somehow punched the ball about 12 meters from the goal but there was Vladimir who hit strong and unstoppable header straight to the top right corner. The only problem was - it was an own goal. Beautiful, though.
As in every international club or school, each year we have that sad opportunity to lose couple of very good friends and players. This year was not different. Lorenzo left Tokyo in mid-June, as well as Jonathan. Michael, Louis and Mark left earlier this year. We know that we will have a bunch of new guys, but we will miss all that left. From tonight we'll miss Lorenzo and his bicycle kick (which he tried so many times during the Season and, eventually, one came in. Well done amico! Tanti auguri!
Held in Tokyo Sports Cafe. We enjoyed and celebrated two Cups we won this year (Depolovoro 7-aside and TML Third Division). Special thanks to ladies that (luckily) helped us in Karaoke.
We certainly hope that these guys will somehow manage their singing and football careers and, if they have to choose between football and singing, will decide to play football. In order to help them, rest of us will try to give them more reason and chances to sing achieving good results in the following Season.
He came to our last game as a photographer. Unfortunately, our regular goalkeeper couldn't come and we had no other options then to ask Vladimir's friend Baja to be a keeper. It was his first 11-aside football game, first time he wore football boots, first time he played in the rain (although with an umbrella?!?). With two great saves he kept a clean sheet, and, so far, he is the only keeper we know that has a perfect score. Thanks mate!
With 7 wins out of 7 games and goal difference +36 we were, by far, the best team in the competition and won well deserved first place. Although we scored 46 goals, we didn't have a Top Scorer. However, Vladimir, who played a couple of games for other teams in the IFFL Dopolavoro League, picked up a trophy as the Universal Top Scorer.
